Das Ding (The Thing)
The Sache ( In Sachvorstellung, Freud’s term for a ‘thing-notion,) is precisely the thing, an output of industry and of human activity as administered by language. Nevertheless absolute they may first be in the genesis of that action, things are constantly on the facade, always within span of an explanation. To the degree that it is subjacent to and inherent in every human behaviour, that activity of which things are the outcome belongs to the preconscious system, that is to say, something that our matter can bring to consciousness. The state of mind that where we pay enough consideration to it, that we take notice of it. The word is there in an exchangeable manner to the degree that it verbalises itself, that it comes to reveal itself besides the thing, to the extent also that an act – which is itself ruled by language, indeed by command – will have left out this object and given it birth.
Sache and wort ( word, in Freud’s term, wortvorstellung, word-notion) are, hence, associated closely; a pair is formed by them, The Thing, ”Das Ding” is found somewhere else.
I would relish now to confer you this Ding in life and in reality system that Freud prefaces at the origin of his idea and that continues to the end. I will aim at the source to it in a given section of the Entwurf, (an outline of psychology) on the real opinion and in the article entitled’ Die Vemeinung or Degeneration’ in which it is an imperative point. This thing is not in the contact – which is to some extent a deliberate one in so far as it is explainable that causes a man to question his words as pertaining to things which they have further created. There is something unusual in Das Ding.
What one encounters in The Thing ( Das Ding) is a genuine mystery. For a fact, the system has a code that as Levfecre-Pontalis aimed last time is ambiguous. If Freud talks of the materiality principle, it is in progression to disclose to us that from a particular point of view it is always beaten; it only controls to repeat itself at the border. one might say that is so over the cause of a sort of tension, in fact, if things did not t, go much additional, Freud describes not ‘ the essential requirements’ as is frequently said in order to emphasize the inconsiderable process – though die Not Des Lebebs ( The Necessity of Life) in the German writing. An extremely potent expression. Something that resembles for. ‘Need’ and not needs. Pressure, urgency. The position of Not is the state of crisis in life.
